San Francisco Giants Camps in the Bay Area is looking to hire Summer Camp Early Childhood Teachers to make a three to ten week commitment to make a positive difference in the lives of our youth while developing in them a love for the traditional sports, games, and recreational activities that are so formative for children. Early Childhood Teachers Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe camp environment for all summer camp campers
  • Supervise campers (ages 4-12) during all activities; counsel campers as needed, using positive and appropriate discipline techniques
  • Manage and motivate campers to have fun each day of camp
  • Execute San Francisco Giants Baseball Camps Curriculum daily, under the direction of the Site Director
  • Provide feedback and suggestions during drills and games
  • Highlight teachable moments for campers to learn and grow from
  • Work together with other team members from various backgrounds to uphold the Giants Baseball Camps stellar reputation

Qualifications for all summer camp teacher positions:

  • Be prepared to make a commitment Monday-Friday for approximately eight hours per day, preferably for a minimum 3-5 week commitment
  • Giants Baseball & Softball Camps run every week from June 9, 2025 to August 15, 2025
  • Be prepared to travel to each site with reliable transportation of your own
  • Be able to pass a comprehensive background screening
  • Have child management experience, and a basic understanding of baseball
  • Have or be pursuing a degree in early childhood education and have a familiarity with childhood development principles

Palo Alto – El Camino Park

Orinda – Wagner Ranch Elementary

San Mateo – Sea Cloud Park

Los Altos Hills – Purissima Park

Burlingame – Bayside Park

San Carlos – Highlands Park

San Jose – Herman Intermediate Schoo;

West Sacramento – Bryte Park

Elk Grove – Johnson Park Recreation

Rocklin – Johnson Springview Park

Folsom – John Kemp Community Park

Sacramento – William Land Park

Our Interview Process:

  • Complete a 15 minute virtual interview with our MLB Camps Director
  • Final decision!

Compensation:

  • Professional Educator: $22.00/hour
    • Please note you must have at least 1 school year of paid teaching experience and/or provide proof of teaching certification in order to be eligible for this hourly wage.
  • College Student/Recent Graduate Still Pursuing Teaching Credential: $18.67/hour
