- An Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for the design, development, installation, maintenance, and calibration of instruments and systems used for measuring and controlling variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, and level in various industrial processes.
- They ensure that the instruments are working efficiently to provide accurate data for controlling processes and maintaining safety in operations.
- The role involves collaborating with other engineering teams and providing technical expertise on instrumentation and control systems. Responsibilities:
- Design and specify instruments and control systems for new projects, modifications, or upgrades of existing systems. Select appropriate instrumentation for specific tasks, ensuring compatibility with operational requirements.
- Oversee the installation of instruments and control systems. Ensure proper configuration and calibration of equipment during the commissioning phase.
- Regularly inspect and maintain instrumentation to ensure optimal performance. Perform calibration, troubleshoot, and repair faulty instruments.
- Monitor instrument performance and provide support for process control, ensuring that measurements are accurate and that the systems are functioning as required.
- Prepare detailed reports on instrumentation systems, including specifications, installation procedures, calibration data, and maintenance logs. Maintain up-to-date documentation for all instrumentation systems. Technical Skills:
