Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager to lead their Taiwan operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the sales plan for the country, managing a team of 30-40 people, and achieving ambitious annual growth targets. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills, a proven track record in sales management, and a deep understanding of financial services.

What You’ll Do

As Country Manager, you will be at the forefront of our client’s operations in Taiwan. You will lead a dedicated sales team, driving business development and shaping strategy to ensure profitability. Your role will involve managing all aspects of business development, from streamlining infrastructure to optimizing sales processes. You will also be responsible for maintaining key customer relationships and leading commercial negotiations.   • Manage all aspects of business development, strategy, and profitability
  • Ensure smooth merchant services through diplomatic management of operations and technical support
  • Deliver the sales plan for the country and achieve income targets
  • Revitalize and streamline infrastructure and processes to achieve ambitious annual sales growth targets
  • Appoint and equip the right people with relevant tools and skills to optimize sales
  • Maintain personal relationships with key customers and lead commercial negotiations for major deals

You have proven your abilities as a business developer and team leader, demonstrating your general management experience including P&L responsibility. Your experience working in a multinational matrix-management organization will be invaluable in this role.

  • 15+ years of professional experience in financial services with progressive sales management positions
  • In-depth exposure to the credit card business
  • Proven business developer and team leader with general management experience including P&L responsibility
  • Excellent tactical skill to deal with government bodies and officials
  • Demonstrable ability to develop professional, highly motivated and effective sales teams
  • Experience of working in a multinational matrix-management organization
