Andromeda Systems Incorporated (ASI) is hiring entry-level database developers to join our team in developing our web-based applications using the latest .Net, Angular, and SQL technologies.

ASI develops enterprise software used by physical asset managers to keep their equipment and fleets performing at their highest levels. Our customers include the Department of Defense, commercial fleet operators, and industrial facilities. We are looking for an entry-level database developer to work in our Jacksonville office who is excited to dive into our data and be part of a team of innovators. You will be building data structures and processes from the ground up and enhancing an existing core. You will have the opportunity to work in small, but complete, teams that have total ownership of applications and modules.

Responsibilities

  • Code, test, debug, and implement database scripts and processes in a Microsoft SQL Server environment
  • Design and develop tables, views, stored procedures, scripts, queries, etc.
  • Learn and understand database structure
  • Develop ETL processes to include SSIS
  • Write technical specifications and other forms of documentation
  • Innovate on tools and processes that simplify and expedite achieving development goals
  • Collaborate with other technical teams (Software Development, DevOps, QA Testers, Analysts) to ensure successful delivery of projects from testing to integration to deployment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from US accredited institution
  • Foundational knowledge of SQL query writing and syntax for MS SQL Server
  • Basic knowledge of database structures
  • Basic knowledge of ETL processes
  • Basic knowledge of agile and waterfall software development life cycle, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, and testing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with
    • Database development
    • ETL processes
    • Source Control (Git, Perforce, etc.)
    • SQL Deployment Tools (Evolve, etc.)

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Security Clearance is not required at the time of hire but must qualify for one within the first year of employment
  • ASI background check will be required
