What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Serve as the primary liaison for members and providers regarding inquiries about eligibility, authorizations, claims, and related policies
  • Handle and resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently, ensuring first call resolution
  • Maintain accurate call logs documenting customer interactions and actions taken
  • Navigate multiple systems to effectively resolve customer issues
  • Anticipate and meet customer expectations while building trust and effective relationships

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in a customer service environment
  • Strong knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Ability to remain courteous and patient when dealing with difficult callers
  • Capacity to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Bilingual (Spanish) or other language skills
  • 2+ years of experience in an HMO/Healthcare Industry setting
  • Knowledge of call center telephony and technology
  • Understanding of Protected Health Information (PHI) and medical terminology
