Salary: Starting at $125,000 depending on experience + annual discretionary bonus
Software Developer Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Data Engineering, the Software Developer will build and maintain integration/ETL software, business process software, data models, data warehouse solutions, as well as data insight and reporting systems.
This is a fully on-site position in our beautiful Ladera Ranch, CA office.
Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
- Participates in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance with a focus on optimal performance.
- Supports end-to-end data solutions, from integration to storage to insight.
- Advocates for a data-driven culture and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure accessibility, accuracy, and usability.
- Gathers business requirements and build solutions that translate the information received into actionable insight that drives business performance.
- Ensures data accuracy and implementing data quality measures.
- Creates business processes efficiency through automation.
- Establishes and manages technology vendor relationships.
- Supports various AI initiatives aimed at pricing optimization and process improvement.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Needed
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
- Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or other databases.
- Experience with integration tools like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, etc.
- Experience with visualization tools like Domo, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience with Containers, FaaS, and NoSQL is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
