Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in handling all aspects of DBA claims and case management.
- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to gather and organize case-related information.
- Review, organize, and maintain case files, medical records, and legal documents.
- Monitor case deadlines, prepare litigation calendars, and track case progress.
- Coordinate medical evaluations, depositions, and hearings.
- Draft correspondence, case summaries, and legal memoranda as needed.
- Assist in trial preparation, including assembling exhibits and legal binders.
- Conduct basic legal research to support case strategy.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and court procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in insurance defense, workers’ compensation, or DBA claims preferred.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work product.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
