Job Description
Sterilization Services of Georgia is seeking an individual for the Quality Assurance Assistant (QAA) position. The QAA position must have the ability to understand all production, calibration, maintenance procedures and records and ensure the procedures are correctly followed and documented.
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Assist the Quality Assurance Supervisor in the review of sterilization load records to verify the product has been processed per the customer expectations and ability to identify non-conformances, notifying all affected parties when a non-conformance is discovered (Plant Manager, Quality Assurance Supervisor, and Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs Manager).
- Performing daily reviews of the process to ensure compliance with the customer specifications and the operational procedures.
- Correspond with customers via phone and email
- Set up batch records for processing after receipt
- Assist with the execution of customer validations.
- Organize shipping and receiving activities including unloading and loading of the trucks, as needed
- Manage inventory of samples
- Assist in general office duties
- Other duties as assigned by management
Required skills:
- Detail oriented
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to follow directions as given by supervision and procedures.
- Ability to work as part of a team and interact with different levels from hourly team members, customers, vendors, management, and corporate representatives.
- Forklift certified or willing to get certified for performing some function of the job.
- A high school degree or equivalent is required.
- Microsoft office experience
Preferred Skills / Education:
- Knowledgeable in FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and ISO 11135.
- Documentation control knowledge.
- Two or more years’ experience in a quality department position.
Required qualifications:
- Ability to work weekends and holidays, if appropriate.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
