We are seeking an experienced and highly driven automotive Business Development Manager to lead our centralized BDC in the Denver, CO area. The Business Development Manager will oversee the customer outreach efforts and ensure effective used vehicle acquisitions, lead management, appointment scheduling, and customer engagement to drive sales and enhance the guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development within the automotive industry, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for building and nurturing client relationships while leading and enhancing team performance.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to identify and acquire used vehicles and new business opportunities.
  • Design and implement scalable processes that improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing and operations, to ensure seamless implementation of business initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify areas for growth and innovation.
  • Hire, train and provide leadership to BDC team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Track and report key metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and overall sales performance.
  • Manage and ensure timely follow-up on inbound leads from multiple channels.
  • Build strong guest relationships, address inquiries, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously monitor and streamline operations and implement SOPs for consistency and efficiency.

  • A minimum of 3 years used vehicle management or BDC management experience, preferably for a multi-store group.
  • Proficiency with DMS and CRM tools, DealerTrack/VINSolutions preferred and other dealership software tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving goals.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be flexible and engage with guests effectively and professionally.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-oriented with a strong understanding of customer service and sales processes.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve BDC performance.
  • Deep expertise of automotive products, sales processes and industry trends.
