Contracted with the Department of Children and Family, we provide oversite to providers in central Florida who serve in the mental health and substance abuse field in all types of settings, including school and community settings. The CPS is responsible for assisting Civil State Hospitals, FACT, and Forensic program managers.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
- Reviews and processes all referrals for state hospital admission from the 34 receiving facilities under CFBHN’s territory, including public CSU’s and private receiving facilities.
- Assists with Forensic State Hospital Referrals, Provider Notification of Admissions, and Forensic Waitlists.
- Assists with coordinating d/c planning for Civil State Hospital clients returning to the Community returning to the community.
- Works closely with Civil State Hospital/FACT and Forensic Program Managersto assist with programmatic expectations and serves as backup as needed.
- Ensure Contractual Requirements are being met by providers.
- Provide programmatic technical assistance and training, both internal and external.
- Able to develop, run, and analyze reports/trends regarding programs, special projects, and other assigned areas.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, or similar field
- Experience with Florida’s Adult mental health /substance abuse system, including Baker act, and Marchman act preferred
- Experience with Florida statute 916 preferred
- In-depth understanding of Florida’s Adult mental health /substance abuse system, including Baker act, and Marchman act.
- In-depth knowledge of funder contractual requirements
- Familiarity with forensic individuals
- Case Management skills
- Familiarity with crisis units, residential, and state hospital discharge
