Job Description

Identify business entities training needs, designing and implementing training programs, facilitating learning activities, evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives, and collaborating with managers to ensure employee development aligns with business goals.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the submission of the WSP / ATR annual reports
  • Responsible for the BEE Skills Scorecard; implement, monitor and report interventions
  • Responsible for the Wood L&D programs; performance management & reviews, succession planning, career development, learnership, graduate and talent management
  • Responsible for all learning & development operations in order to make a contribution to the achievement of the organization’s strategic goals
  • Continuously improve the learning & development function appropriate to organizational context, practices and priorities
  • Contribute to policy and strategy on learning & development issues
  • Identify and prioritize current and future organizational learning & development requirements
  • Continuously develop the profile and credibility of learning & development within the organization
  • Evaluate critical learning & development operations and processes to determine the effectiveness and added value of the function
  • Identify and recommend interventions that will expand the organization’s overall capacity and competence and will help to introduce and embed organizational change.
  • Effective facilitation and / or delivery of learning programs aimed at development of employees in line with Wood’s strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on all internal and external training spend (workshops, webinars, short courses, unveristy programmes and all safety training interventions,
  • Coordinate, communicate and distribute all internal webinars training and short videos
  • Liaise with global L&D to build regional training profile by attending meetings
  • Monitor and report Professional bodies registrations register and spend
  • Ensure filing and recording of all training, talent management, succession planning, performance management documentation for auditing purposes

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Learning & Development and / or Human Resources related qualification
  • 5 – 10 years in a Learning and Development or Training role

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • SETA experience essential
  • WSP / ATR experience essential
  • Experience with Pr. Eng. registration (CPD points)
  • Knowledge and effective application of L&D processes, methods & models including training needs analysis and identifying & implementing training solutions
  • Successful training delivery
  • Ability to function with all employee levels within an organization including senior executive & management teams
  • Knowledge of South African legislation and requirements
  • Training coordination and reporting
