About The Role??

We’re seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our dedicated team. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations within the crushing and screening space, with the objective of meeting production targets. This role ensures that all plant and equipment are maintained to high standards and that all operations are carried out in accordance with overall safety and environmental regulations.

This role includes, but is not limited to;??

  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections, maintaining a safe working environment;
  • Enforce site policies and procedures, ensuring all personnel adhere to safety protocols;
  • Identify and mitigate environmental risks associated with crushing and screening processes;
  • Monitor material quality and processing efficiency to meet project specifications;
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness;
  • Develop and maintain effective and professional working relationships with clients and sub-contractors;?
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel;
  • Work closely with HR to conduct performance reviews, training requirements and all recruitment selection processes;
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement strategies to optimise performance;
  • Ensure all operations meet the WHS (Work Health & Safety) regulations and mining industry standards;
  • Attend and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly client interface meetings as required, sourcing and preparing critical information for these meetings;
  • Actively participating in daily, weekly & monthly team and Leadership meetings;
  • Assist in producing daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed by the Site Manager; and
  • Assist in managing and promoting change management across the site.?

The ideal candidate:?

  • Will have overall working rights for Australia coupled with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in crushing and screening;
  • Trade qualification in boiler making, mechanical fitting, or electrical trades with strong technical expertise in track-mounted crushers, screens, conveyors, and related equipment;
  • Experience in managing teams and driving operational efficiencies; ?
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with strong crushing and screening operations knowledge, including fixed and mobile plant equipment;
  • Ability to analyse production data and drive performance improvements;
  • Strong understanding of risk management and environmental compliance;
  • Experience working in remote mining environments under FIFO, DIDO, or residential conditions; and
  • All required tickets such as White Card, WHS, C class driver’s license or higher, Confined Space Entry, Gas Test atmospheres, and national police clearance; and
  • Undertaken training within BSBWHS411 Implement & Monitor WHS Policies, Procedures & Programs, DEMIRS Schedule 26 Supervisor Certificate, RIIRIS402E Carry our risk management process; and Frontline Management.
