The Opportunity

This opportunity is best suited for candidates in their penultimate/ final year of study looking for an internship commencing in June 2025 and concluding in August 2025.

Our Team

Combining our deep knowledge of solar, wind, storage, and grid technologies, with our global power and fuels modelling and analytical capabilities, and emerging technologies like hydrogen, nuclear, bioenergy and CCUS, Wood Mackenzie provides data and insight spanning the entire energy and natural resources value chain. We cover supply chain, technology costs, policy and market issues, fundamentals-based outlooks, climate scenario modelling, price forecasting, asset valuation, and commodity market landscapes.

The Role: Deep dive into ad hoc policy and market desk research on wind in Europe; aligning data files on historical wind data, verification of simple data with public sources, aligning data files on historical wind data, verification of simple data with public sources, ad hoc written contributions to internal research.

Requirements

Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification with a quantitative, statistical, energy and/or economics focus.

Wood Mackenzie follows a hybrid work structure, however, during the duration of this internship, the successful candidate would highly benefit from being in the office frequently with the team and their line manager.

Applicants must have the legal Right to Work in the country this role is based in. We are unable to sponsor employment visas at this time.
