Job Description

Context

The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world’s leading humanitarian agency dedicated to saving and changing lives through food assistance, nutrition programs, and resilience-building initiatives. Description of Duties

  • Maintain and update digital employee records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Organize HR documents using an automated archiving system for efficient retrieval.
  • Oversee personnel files, eliminating duplicates and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Scan, digitize, and categorize HR records, maintaining secure storage and indexing.
  • Generate reports and assist in compliance with audit and HR functions.
  • Coordinate staffing solutions between WFP and UNV, supporting recruitment processes.
  • Ensure HR files adhere to record-keeping standards and accessibility guidelines.
  • Support general HR operations and assist with administrative tasks as required.

Profile Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Archival Science, Library Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields; IT background is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in HR, IT, or administrative roles with records management expertise.
  • Skills: Proficiency in digital archiving, HR databases, and Excel; familiarity with records management principles.
  • Competencies: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Languages: Fluent in Arabic (native) and English (fluent).

Living conditions and remarks

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. A 6 -months contract with subsequent contract extensions subject to availability of funding, operational necessity and satisfactory performance. A Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) of ILS 6428 is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. Life, health and permanent disability insurance are included (health insurance for up to 3 dependents), as well as Exit allowance for satisfactory service.
