Job Description
Responsibilities
- Leading the development and execution of architectural designs for airport terminals, hangars, maintenance facilities, and other aviation-related structures
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant aviation regulations, building codes, and safety standards in the design and construction of airport facilities
- Collaborating with internal and external teams to integrate sustainable and energy-efficient design principles into aviation infrastructure projects
- Conducting site evaluations and feasibility studies to inform the architectural approach for new aviation developments
- Providing technical expertise and guidance on airport master planning, terminal layout, and passenger flow optimization
- Overseeing the preparation of detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for aviation construction projects
- Participating in design reviews, construction site inspections, and quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards
- Contributing to the evaluation and selection of materials, finishes, and architectural systems that align with project objectives and budgetary considerations
- Engaging with regulatory authorities, airport operators, and industry partners to address architectural compliance and project approvals
- Mentoring and developing junior architectural staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
Qualifications
Education Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution
Certification required
- Professional certification or licensure as an Architect
Experience
- Minimum 14-17 years of progressive experience in architecture, with a focus on the Airline and Aviation industry
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and managing architectural projects within the aviation sector
- Proven experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to deliver complex architectural solutions
