We are looking for a Data Scientist, preferably with experience in the Lending industry and in open banking. They will join our corporate Advanced Analytics team in Madrid to participate in the definition and development of innovative decision solutions to our global client base.

You will build solutions in the financial realm to predict client behavior, to detect financial fraud, to monitor model performance, to develop predictive attributes from our open banking solutions, among other targets. You should be a proactive individual with sound programming and statistical modeling, willing to constantly adapt to an evolving environment and continuously learn new technologies. This role involves occasional client facing duties.

Requirements

Required skills

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics or Engineering. Masters or PhD preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capacity
• Programming skills in Python, experience with its data mining and machine learning libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, numpy…)
• At least 2 years of experience as a data scientist or similar role.
• Knowledge of SQL
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Highly Valued Skills / Experience

• Knowledge of cloud solutions (Amazon Web Services)
• Experience with generative AI
• Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI
• Knowledge of other programming languages (C++/C, experience with cython)
• Knowledge of Big data technologies as Spark/pySpark, Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Impala…
• Experience with open banking solutions and in the Lending industry
