Job Summary

The Associate Digital Product Manager supports the execution of a delightful user experience for eCommerce (web and mobile) platforms and digital loyalty. This role assists in translating vision into actionable roadmaps, collaborating with technology and business stakeholders across brands to enhance digital properties with a focus on driving first-party sales and improving customer satisfaction.

Working closely with the Product team, the Associate Product Manager contributes to the development of roadmaps and plans to achieve business objectives. They assist in the execution of feature development and incremental enhancements to increase customer adoption and engagement.

The Associate Product Manager helps maintain and prioritize the product backlog, aligning tasks with defined customer value, product strategy, and organizational goals. They utilize data and analytics to help identify opportunities and assist in prioritizing tasks accordingly. This role also supports scrum team activities to deliver innovative features and enhancements through product backlog grooming and iterative development processes.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with Product team members, brand stakeholders, development engineers, and vendor leads to understand product requirements and translate them into actionable tasks.
  • Write epics, user stories and defining acceptance criteria that align with business objectives and user needs.
  • Contribute to the identification of pros, cons, obstacles, and dependencies related to features and enhancements.
  • Partner with designers on UX development to ensure objectives are met.
  • Work with scrum teams to ensure user stories meet criteria for readiness and facilitate sprint planning.
  • Support backlog grooming to maintain a healthy pipeline of prioritized, ready-to-develop tasks.
  • Assist in bridging the gap between product requirements and technical implementation of UI and API features.
  • Support the mitigation of impediments impacting the successful completion of sprints or release goals.
  • Participate in story acceptance testing to validate features against acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate UAT with the brand teams and other stakeholders.
  • Help monitor production issues and participate in bug triage processes.
  • Stay informed on research and competitive trends to recommend improvements for best-in-class products.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to track product metrics, goals, and success factors.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, engineering, business or equivalent professional experience (required)

Work Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in a product-focused role (e.g., Associate Product Manager, Business Analyst, Product Coordinator).
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with the role of a Product Owner within a scrum team.
  • Basic understanding of full lifecycle software development practices.
  • Foundational analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data to support decision-making.
