Job Summary

IQGeo is seeking a UI/UX Designer to support our Web and Mobile Software engineering and implementation efforts for domestic and international enterprise customers. This role joins a dynamic team that enjoys working with complex applications and products that utilize software, GIS, engineering, and problem-solving skills. Our Engineering teams are in Cambridge (UK), Denver (USA), Salt Lake City (USA), and Ghent (Belgium) and are responsible for designing and developing our geospatial products which are available both as cloud services and for on-premises deployment. As a UI/UX Designer, you will work across and closely with the Engineering team to ensure all user interfaces are designed well and have a consistent look and feel. The role is expected to be capable of working independently, and as a team member, and should have working experience as a UI/UX Designer.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate user experience design requirements for all products from product management, delivery, partners, and customers
  • Develop and conceptualize a UI/UX design strategy for the product suite
  • Produce high-quality design solutions through wireframes, graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes
  • Design consistent UI elements including dialogs, screens, and navigation menus
  • Work with software engineers to ensure designs are adhered to and implemented as designed
  • Test and validate UI elements in all products
  • Provide advice and guidance to software engineers for UI implementation
  • Set and implement style standards (and Style Guide) on typography and graphic design
  • Own, maintain, and direct design of IQGeo applications

  • Portfolio of professional UI/UX design solutions for mobile and browser applications
  • Expert knowledge of the following technologies:
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Design tools (ideally Figma)
  • US citizenship or permanent residency required

Desirable

  • Experience using Software Lifecycle and Planning tools such as Jira
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) or web mapping

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX Design or related field and/or equivalent experience.?
