Job Description
- Initially assist with and then independently undertake extended habitat surveys as your skills improve;
- Assist experienced ecologists with protected species (e.g. great crested newt, bat, badger and reptile) surveys giving you experience towards gaining protected species survey licences;
- Assist and then independently write a variety of ecological reports including for Biodiversity Net Gain;
- Be exposed to the full breadth of ecological consultancy in a short space of time;

Training is provided internally as well as from external sources where needed. We support our ecologists in gaining the necessary experience and references with regard to protected species survey licences.
- Have a genuine enthusiasm for wildlife and a willingness to develop new ecology field skills including plant identification;
- Hold a degree in ecology or a related discipline;
- Hold, or be working towards, ‘qualifying member’ status, or higher, of CIEEM;
- Have a flexible approach to work, including frequent lone working, occasional unsocial hours (e.g. overnight bat surveys) and sometimes stays away from home (expenses paid);
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team;
- A full UK driving licence.
