We provide expert instruction and a full suite of administrative solutions in the service of athletes, teams, organizations, tournaments, and events. EL1 is the proud youth baseball and softball training partner of Major League Baseball.
Summary
As Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the financial performance of EL1 Sports. Your responsibilities will include leading financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic financial decision-making for the corporation as a whole. You will work closely with senior executives and other stakeholders to provide financial insights, recommendations, and support for achieving the company’s financial goals and expansion initiatives.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Financial Analysis and Insights: Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior management on business performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Review and assess the financial feasibility of EL1’s projects.
- Financial Projections: Develop financial projections for new facility deals, including revenue forecasts, expense projections, and cash flow projections. Utilize historical data, market research, and industry benchmarks to create accurate and comprehensive financial models.
- Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day financial operations. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and maintain proper accounting records. Partner with leadership team on driving profitability of our different business lines.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Conduct and review financial analysis for existing and prospective facilities providing recommendations as appropriate.
- Budget Analysis: Analyze the budgets of designated organizations at both the micro and macro level to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement. Conduct variance analysis to assess budget performance against actual results and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Proven experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in financial management, accounting, or related field.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in financial management software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Knowledge of the sports industry or related field is a plus.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS & TRAVEL
Work environments include but are not limited to office spaces, sports facilities, and recreation fields/parks.
On an infrequent basis, overnight travel may be required.
Salary Description
$75,000+
