Job Description
The Avionics Integration Technician is responsible for the integration of payload systems, Conduct ground testing, Support flight test preparation and execution, Operate test equipment during ground and flight testing, Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians, Assist in preparing and maintaining test setups of UAVs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the integration of avionics and payload systems into the UAV, including wiring, installation, and configuration of avionics equipment.
- Perform ground testing of avionics systems (e.g., communication, navigation, sensors) and payloads, ensuring proper functionality and integration.
- Support flight test preparation, ensuring avionics and payload systems are fully functional and calibrated for flight operations.
- Operate and monitor avionics systems during ground and flight testing, collecting data and troubleshooting issues that arise.
- Collaborate with avionics engineers and senior technicians to review test plans and ensure readiness for integration and test execution.
- Provide real-time support during flight tests, ensuring avionics and payload systems are operating as expected and capturing performance data.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with additional 8+ years of experience in UAV avionics systems, integration, or testing, with hands-on experience in avionics troubleshooting, payload integration, and system testing.
- Proficiency in avionics systems, including communication, navigation, radar, and sensor integration.
- Experience with flight test equipment, telemetry systems, and avionics diagnostic tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for avionics subsystems, payloads, and communication systems
