Salary: £94 to £115 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you an English Graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in the education sector?

If so, GSL Education are offering exciting opportunities for English graduates to work as Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Sheffield.

This role is ideal for individuals considering a career in teaching or education. Whether supporting students as a Teaching Assistant or leading pre-planned lessons as a Cover Supervisor, you will gain valuable classroom experience while helping students develop their literacy and communication skills.

English Graduates Responsibilities

• Support students in English lessons, helping to improve reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Assist with small group and one-to-one interventions to boost student confidence.
• Lead and supervise classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Encourage student participation and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide feedback to teachers regarding student progress.
• Adapt to different classroom settings and work across various year groups as required.

Skills & Qualification For An English Graduate

• A recent degree in English, English Literature, Creative Writing, or a related field.
• A strong passion for education and literacy development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience working with young people (preferred but not essential).
• The ability to manage a classroom effectively and engage students.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
