What you will do

As a Solution Engineer (SE), you will be responsible for supporting our Account Executives (AE) through the sales process. Your responsibilities include: a) demonstrating how our solutions fit our customer needs b) assessing opportunities and ROI for our prospect and mapping out their processes c) bridging the gap between Sales and Product, and Sales and Product delivery. As the first SE hire you will be expected to help develop a process and materials.

This position is an individual contributor role that works closely with sales and product functions. It reports to our CRO.

Responsibility

  • Evaluate our product’s fit for prospective customers
  • Put together ROI estimates for prospective customer adoption of our product
  • Map out customer processes and how our solution would work with them
  • Present to prospective customers
  • Develop SE process, tools, and documents
  • Support account executives as needed to help complete a sales process
  • Provide feedback to the product on customer needs

What you bring – basic

  • 5+ years of overall relevant experience
  • 2+ years of analytical skills in consulting or strategy work
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment typical of a fast-paced start-up
  • Ability to describe product functionality and value add in detail and ability to converse in technical lingo
  • Experience with technical business documentation like workflow diagrams, proposals, SOWs, RFPs and RFIs, etc
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally
  • Advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint

What you bring – advanced

  • 2+ years experience working in sales and product functions, either directly in or in an associated function
  • Proficient in delivering software demonstrations in person and virtually
  • Executive-level presentation skills
  • Excel model building to show value across different scenarios

On target earnings : $100,000 to $250,000

75% salary / 25% variable

Syllable is open to consideration of candidates at varying levels of experience and responsibility, subject to meeting the basic qualifications of the position. As such, the salary range for this position is 100,000-250,000. The range of compensation for this role takes into account the variety of factors considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to pay band placement, skillset, experience and training, licensure and certification, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. All compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
