Description
SAIC is seeking a Field Engineer located in Kuwait to support Army Force Protection to install and maintain the Automation Vehicle Inspection System (AVIS) and train the end users.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Comprehensive installs and de-installs
- Removing hardware and providing new replacements
- Re-configuring and re-imaging software
- Test electronics for communication and network connections
- Completes a complete system status check to ensure they are fully mission capable
- Applying all new software patches which are the direct results of new testing
- Building network stacks with multiple pieces of equipment from various vendor
- Completing work orders in COLTS logistics database for all actions taken
- Completing all periodic maintenance plans and testing
- Documenting and maintaining maintenance and test plans
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Experience supporting hardware/software capability on Forward Operating Bases overseas
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications and common office software applications
- Working knowledge of the COLTS logistics database
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
- Must be a current US Citizen
