Job Description
The Queensland Parliamentary Catering Service Team (PCS) provides in house food and beverage services for the Members of the Legislative Assembly, as well as staff, visitors and guests. We cater for high-profile events involving international, national and local dignitaries, industry leaders and associations.
We operate a fine dining restaurant, a cafeteria and coffee shop and an events department that hosts private and public events over a variety of indoor and outdoor venues set within the heritage listed Parliament House.
Providing exceptional service to our clients, you will be responsible for the delivery of food and beverages across many different service styles, including: Cocktail, Banquet, Buffet and Fine Dining. The role also requires the set up and pack down of events.
Successful Candidates Will Have
- Previous experience in banqueting or events
- Fine dining experience preferred but not essential.
- Ability to carry 3 plates and clear 5 plates.
- Bar experience – restaurant or events
- Food Handlers Certificate preferred but not essential.
- Current Queensland RSA
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise work and work well under pressure.
