About The Role

Join our team as an Education Support Officer within the Specialist Provision Centre at Ballacottier School where you will work closely with our team to plan and deliver aspects of the curriculum for pupils who may have social/emotional, behavioural, physical, sensory and/or learning difficulties.

You will support, follow and contribute to individual education plans, working with small groups or one to one with pupils. You’ll also set up activities for the day and take pupils out on trips, helping them learn life skills.

Our pupils are very much part of the wider school community and join their mainstream peers for some lessons, lunches, assemblies and other school events. Some children also spend time in mainstream classes during the week, with staff working closely together to ensure this is successful.

We are a busy centre with a really great team who support one another and always welcome new ideas to support a range of different needs. You should be enthusiastic and hardworking, with knowledge and understanding of working with children with special educational needs.
