Applies principles of General Accounting to conduct studies which provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems by performing the following duties
- Month end duties, including but not limited to, prepaids, accruals, intercompany postings, warranty and labor accruals.
- Prepares GL reconciliations for accuracy and reasonableness.
- Prepares all workbooks for cash postings and bank reconciliations.
- Prepares property and sales tax accruals and maintains workbooks representing the balance until payment due.
- Understands and prepares journal entries for all accruals and general accounting.
- Prepares with staff all census reports.
- Prepares all Annual Filing documents for all states, cities, and counties as needed.
- Trend analysis by cost center to identify mis-coded posting.
- Perform audit work as necessary.
- Other projects as required.

Education/Experience
- Must have one to three years accounting experience at a professional level.
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
Language/Communication Skills
- Must be able to articulate information in a professional manner.
- Presentation skills.
- Must be able to facilitate meetings with small and large groups.
Mathematical Skills
- Must be able to perform and understand the following simple algebra, elementary statistics, percentages, fractions and arithmetic.
Reasoning Ability
- Individual and team problem solving.

Travel Requirements
Ability to travel occasionally domestically. Description Occasional activity exists less than 1/3 of the time. Frequent activity exists 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.
