Applies principles of General Accounting to conduct studies which provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems by performing the following duties

• Month end duties, including but not limited to, prepaids, accruals, intercompany postings, warranty and labor accruals.
• Prepares GL reconciliations for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Prepares all workbooks for cash postings and bank reconciliations.
• Prepares property and sales tax accruals and maintains workbooks representing the balance until payment due.
• Understands and prepares journal entries for all accruals and general accounting.
• Prepares with staff all census reports.
• Prepares all Annual Filing documents for all states, cities, and counties as needed.
• Trend analysis by cost center to identify mis-coded posting.
• Perform audit work as necessary.
• Other projects as required.

Education/Experience

• Must have one to three years accounting experience at a professional level.
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).

Language/Communication Skills

• Must be able to articulate information in a professional manner.
• Presentation skills.
• Must be able to facilitate meetings with small and large groups.

Mathematical Skills

• Must be able to perform and understand the following simple algebra, elementary statistics, percentages, fractions and arithmetic.

Reasoning Ability

• Individual and team problem solving.

Travel Requirements

Ability to travel occasionally domestically. Description Occasional activity exists less than 1/3 of the time. Frequent activity exists 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.
