We are seeking a proactive, motivated and detail-oriented Operations Associate to support the Executive Director of Operations in the day-to-day operations and efficient running of a small team and lab. This role involves coordinating operational activities for the team, assisting in the overall efficiency of the site and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assisting the Operations lead in ensuring optimal site functionality, addressing issues raised by the team promptly to optimize work

  • Work closely with the site operations team for equipment and facility issues, visitors and vendor access.
  • Support execution of key operational functions by coordinating important team meetings, invitations, conference room reservations and occasional meal procurement.
  • Assist the Research Associates in managing inventory, receipt and procurement of items for the lab.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports relating to operations, insurance and equipment maintenance
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, training, SOPs and supporting the company culture
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the Operations lead for event planning relating to the parent company and its culture
  • Support team members in achieving company project objectives and timelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business environment in operations, administration, or similar role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to show initiative.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually as well as be an integral part of the team
  • Ability to thrive in an early-stage company, including the flexibility to perform a wide range of tasks and willingness to learn new skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software Familiarity with project management tools and practices a plus
  • Experience working in a lab or scientific environment is a plus but not necessary

Compensation & Benefits:

  • In accordance with New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $75,000 – $90,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
