As a Director of Sourcing & Procurement you will have the opportunity to oversee all strategic sourcing and procurement activities for Elite Comfort Solutions locations.. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by providing leadership and oversight for the direct materials and supplies for our multi-site organization. Responsible for creating sourcing and procurement strategies that include expanding our supply base geographically, multi-sourcing, removing barriers and obstacles, ensuring timely execution of sourcing plans, and reporting savings that meet or exceed goals defined by the business. The team you will be working with is collaborative and strategic, and values challenging work and diversity of thought.

So, what will you be doing as a Director of Sourcing & Procurement?

  • Lead team of sourcing and procurement professionals to strategic outcomes and savings delivery.
  • Responsible for development, implementation, and communication of global sourcing strategies to ensure a standard approach across all commodities.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, conducting negotiations to secure advantageous terms and ensure the continuity of supply.
  • Interact with product development/sales to ensure new parts are sourced and available in time for purchasing requirements.
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Sales and Operations Planning on product needs.
  • Conduct in-depth cost analyses and set benchmarks for quality and cost, employing a data-driven approach to track savings and efficiencies gained.
  • Understand geographical country sourcing into our multi-site manufacturing locations.
  • Monitor global market trends, identifying impacts on supply and demand, and adjusting strategies to leverage market conditions.
  • Drive the evaluation and selection of new suppliers based on thorough criteria for quality, value, and reliability.
  • Ensure the Purchasing team has the tools available for regular review of inventory for ordering and inventory management at all locations.
  • Oversee the procurement of all materials required for company operations.
  • Determine strategic inventory plans that achieve business inventory commitments, while balancing customer lead time/business OTD requirements.
  • Determine strategic sourcing plans for site operations including maintenance and operations supplies and materials.
  • Coordinate with corporate level sourcing and procurement as needed and when appropriate to take advantage of economies of scale.

To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a sourcing role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders in the US and abroad.
  • Exceptional leadership skills in managing and developing a team and fostering professional development.
  • Strong project management abilities, capable of leading cross-functional initiatives and driving change.
  • Proven leadership skills, including the ability to effectively coach, motivate, empower, develop, and evaluate employees.
  • Experience setting up new programs and processes.

Things We Consider a Plus

  • Experience with bulk and specialty chemical sourcing/procurement considered.
  • Experience finding multi-sourcing options.
