Position: Litigation Paralegal

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented full-time Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in state and federal court litigation, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role involves managing critical aspects of case investigation and preparation, preparing discovery and pleadings, client communication, and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the practice.
Key Responsibilities Include
Case Management:
- Assist with fact investigation, witness interviews, case strategy, and fact chronologies
- Draft, proofread, and e-file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, proposed orders, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Assist with trial and hearing preparation, including charts, PowerPoints and demonstrative aids, assembling exhibits, and preparing trial/hearing binders
- Coordinate the scheduling of court dates, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
- Pull and organize case law from Westlaw database
Client And Other Communications
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, vendors (such as court reporters, process servers, and e-discovery providers) and court personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain confidentiality, sensitivity and discretion when handling client matters.
- Prepare initial background case memos for new clients.
Additional Attorney Support
- Manage attorneys’ calendars and court deadlines
- Assist with scheduling client appointments and court appearances
- Maintain organized and accurate case files, both physical and electronic.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
- Familiarity with state and federal court rules.
- Proficiency with legal software and court e-filing systems.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, processes, and court procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Paralegal certification or equivalent legal education is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
