Position Overview
As the leading compliance and regulatory tracking platform in the pharmacy industry, we help pharmacists spend their time doing what they do best – helping their patients. Our clients include some of the largest, most trusted retail pharmacies you see in your neighborhood, as well as the independent, specialty pharmacies helping patients with highly specialized medications. The pharmacy legislative landscape is ever changing – it’s one of the most highly regulated industries – and we track and provide expertise on the law in every state and at the federal level.
What You’ll Do
- Duties Conduct in-depth research and analysis of emerging and current laws impacting all sectors of the pharmacy industry, with a primary focus on the gathering and synthesizing of pharmacy law into consumable and actionable content for Bula’s clients.
- Identify new or amended bills, proposed rules, and subregulations through legislative and regulatory research.
- Critically review findings to determine the impact of the change on pharmacy compliance.
- Maintain working knowledge of current industry trends by monitoring and tracking legislative, regulatory, and policy developments at state and federal levels.
- Analyze and succinctly summarize complex legislation and regulation.
- Conduct comprehensive research and provide detailed answers to a specific set of customer driven regulatory questions regarding pharmacy compliance.
- Monitor regulatory board websites for subregulatory guidance documents.
- Provide guidance and assistance in a timely manner regarding regulatory problems, issues, concerns or questions associated with pharmacy compliance.
- Maintain customer driven regulatory questions as assigned by management on a project basis
- Collaborate with team members on legislative and regulatory processes for assigned jurisdictions
- Participate in time sensitive projects as needed.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree – Preferably in political science Legislative and/or regulatory experience
- Strong writing skills Knowledge of retail pharmacy space a plus
