Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Cumberland and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What You’ll Be Doing
The Director Clinical Operations reports to the General Manager Integrated and Community Health and has overall management responsibility for the community based clinical services. The position will be required to work with a range of stakeholders across the Local Health District, the Ministry of Health, Western Sydney Primary Health Network and other Government and non-Government agencies.
The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for priority setting, strategic direction and leadership to meet the health needs of the priority patient cohorts and community via an effective and efficient clinical service delivery
system.
The Director of Clinical Operations will need to ensure that all clinical services under the Directorate are strategically aligned with the priorities of WSLHD.

Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications and or demonstrated experience in business, commerce, finance, health or other relevant fields. Class C licence required
- Demonstrated successful experience at a senior level in the public and/or private sector in the effective formulation, implementation and monitoring of key initiatives within a complex environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including sound oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated success in managing/leading large and diverse teams and delivering on key priorities and results
- High-level expertise, knowledge and experience in ensuring organisational compliance with public sector accountabilities.
- Demonstrated people management skills, including providing staff support, development, performance management and managing unacceptable workplace behaviour.
- Demonstrated understanding of budgeting, financial planning and performance to achieve goals in the organisation.
- Strong ability to meet deadlines and meet conflicting priorities.
