Job Description
We have partnered with a global specialist in pet food manufacturing. Together we are currently seeking a reliable and experienced production operator, based in Newcastle, to join the team immediately. This role would be well suited to someone with a background in food manufacturing, although training can be provided.
Your New Role
Duties
As a Production Operator, you’ll play a crucial role in the manufacturing process. You’ll be responsible for various tasks related to the production of wet and dry pet foods. Tasks and duties may include:
- Run production processes smoothly and effectively.
- Ensure the proper packaging of finished products.
- Raw Materials Handling – Both manually and with a forklift.
- Monitoring the supply and quality of products
- Forklift Operation
- Perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
- Repetitive lifting of up to 25kg
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- Basic Computer Skills – Comfortable using computers for data entry and communication.
- Valid Forklift Licence
- Physically Fit and able
- Appetite and willingness to work in an environment with a strong odour.
