Senior Project Manager

Location: Telfer Mine, Western Australia (Fly-in/Fly-out from Perth)

Roster: 8 days on (12-hour shifts), 6 days off

Start Date: Immediate (within 3 weeks)

The Vacancy

Binnies, an RSK company are seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer for an immediate, site-based role at the Telfer Mine in Western Australia. This is a fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) position, where you will be based on-site with client-provided accommodation. You will be responsible for coordinating multiple design packages with consultants, overseeing various earthworks contractors, and assisting with QA activities. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with strong civil engineering and bulk earthworks experience to contribute to a critical project.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple civil engineering design packages in collaboration with consultants.
• Manage and oversee multiple earthworks contractors on-site, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and on time.
• Assist with the implementation and tracking of Quality Assurance (QA) processes and activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all engineering work aligns with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the site team as required.
• Ensure that all project milestones are met while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Skills & Experience Required

• Civil engineering experience.
• Strong preference for candidates with substantial bulk earthworks experience.
• Proven experience in managing and coordinating site-based civil engineering activities.
• Ability to work effectively with consultants and contractors in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of QA practices and ability to support QA processes on site.
• Ability to adapt to the FIFO roster and work 12-hour shifts.
• Candidates must be based in Perth, Brisbane, or Sydney (preferably Perth).

Work Pattern & Travel

• The role operates on a FIFO basis, with flights to and from site departing from Perth.
• Roster: 8 x 12-hour days on-site, followed by 6 days off.
• Flights will depart from Perth on Tuesday mornings and return to Perth the following Tuesday afternoon.
