Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologist/Psychological Therapist

Job Description

To support in providing a psychologically informed service to patients in the Clinical Medical Psychology department, within the Neonatal speciality. To provide a specialist psychology service to medical patients (including clinical assessment, formulation and treatment), taking into account the full range of need including psychological, social and medical factors. This will involve working with patients across the lifespan through clinics and on the ward. The role will involve direct clinical input, consultancy, supervision and training.

  • You will be responsible for providing psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions, to Neonatal services. You will work closely with other members of the Neonatal team, including consultant paediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. Clinical supervision for the role will be provided by the psychology lead.

The successful candidate will have an interest in developing their skills in paediatric clinical psychology, with experience in providing psychological assessment and intervention to children and young people and their families. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also be committed to providing inclusive care which is sensitive to issues of diversity and difference.
