Job Description
The Clinical System Intern will analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets. Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. Collaborate with team members to modify or tailor existing analysis or reports to meet specific needs. May participate in management reviews, including presenting and interpreting analysis results, summarizing conclusions, and recommending a course of action. This is a general role in which employees work with multiple types of business data.
Required Education
Candidate must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate program as a current freshman or sophomore with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with preference in the following areas – Business, Information Technology, and/or Data Analytics
ROLE DETAILS (Role May Include The Following)
- Participates in analytical, problem-solving including definition and documentation, specifications.
- Assesses and documents business requirements, makes priority recommendations, and advises on business options, risks, and costs.
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business and user needs and documents findings.
- Reviews and recommends changes to business processes to increase system effectiveness for end users.
- Aids in Business Requirements Documents, Test Plans, Requirements Traceability Matrix, User Training materials and other related documentations.
- Assists with business needs to build foundation of optimal means of meeting application software requirements.
- Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
- Create customized, user-friendly reports, dashboards, and visualizations to summarize insights for stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Data analytics and reporting i.e., Power BI, Tableau
- Familiarity with clinical systems
- Assistance with updates, data maintenance and analysis
- Strong communication and stakeholder management, with clear and professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated and ability to develop relationships.
- Good time management, organizational and interpersonal skills required
- Computer experience including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and experience with internet research.
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and to comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
Candidate must possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Pay Range: $21.16 – $21.66 / HOURLY
