Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical leadership role in steering the financial and strategic operations of the company during its Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) and beyond.
This role requires a dynamic financial strategist with experience in managing distressed assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and collaborating with stakeholders to facilitate a sustainable financial recovery.
This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the financial transformation of a listed sugar manufacturing company during a critical phase of its lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure the company’s stability and long-term growth.
- Collaborate with the Resolution Professional (RP) and Committee of Creditors (CoC) to drive financial restructuring and implement resolution plans.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with SEBI, BSE, and other regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Governance
- Maintain strict adherence to all legal, financial, and compliance obligations, including insolvency regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors, regulators, and other external stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the key financial liaison between the company, RP, CoC, creditors, investors, and regulatory authorities.
- Develop strategies to build trust and secure stakeholder confidence during the CIRP process.
Turnaround And Value Maximization
- Support business operations, identify cost-saving opportunities, and performance improvement measures.
- Support the resolution process to maximize stakeholder value and align with the company’s revival strategy.
Leadership And Team Management
- Lead the finance team to ensure operational efficiency and high performance.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and financial discipline.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: CA (preferable) or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 15+ years in senior finance roles, preferably in manufacturing, and experience of handling distressed assets, insolvency processes, or corporate restructuring.
- Familiarity with the sugar industry and its financial intricacies is an advantage.
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of CIRP guidelines, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), and related legal frameworks.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, risk management, and capital restructuring.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
