Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mason to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Mason, you will be responsible for performing various masonry tasks, including construction, repair, and maintenance of walls, floors, and other structures within our organization.

  • Carry out masonry work on walls, floors, and other structures as directed
  • Maintining solar panels
  • Perform repairs to wall plaster, renderings, and interior and exterior building walls
  • Erect new walls and demolish existing ones as instructed by supervisors
  • Repair existing wall and floor tilework and lay new tiles as needed
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
  • Maintain cleanliness at the workplace and in guest areas
  • Collaborate with other team members and adapt to different sub-sections of the Engineering Department
  • Execute any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail in all tasks

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Mason in construction or building maintenance
  • Vocational training or apprenticeship in masonry (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks
  • Safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to following regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Flexibility to adapt to various work environments and tasks
  • Customer-oriented approach with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proactive and dynamic attitude towards work
  • Good presentation and professional appearance
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards in Nairobi, Kenya (preferred)
