SAIC is looking for a 100% remote Scrum Master

Job Description:

SAIC is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to work remotely joining a SAFe Agile Scrum team working on strategic projects supporting the United States Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources and Conservation Division. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the team’s Government Product Owner, be a servant leader to their scrum team, eliminate blockers where necessary, facilitate SAFe iteration ceremonies, and provide regular updates to the Release Train Engineer and other major stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Work with the Government Product Owner (GPO), planning out quarterly Program Increments (PI) as well as 2-to-3-year road mapping of project work.

Work with Development Project Manager to create S.M.A.R.T. Objectives and Features for the PI.

Provide regular updates to Train leadership, customers and stakeholders on team progress.

Facilitate SAFe Agile ceremonies for the scrum team.

Organize demos for the development team to show work completed.

Update traceability metrics to record project progress and completion.

Improve team effectiveness by coaching team members.

Act as a Servant Leader, supporting Team leadership to manage the Backlog, shield the team from outside interference, and remove obstacles to achieving commitments.

Organize training for the team when necessary.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years)

5+ years of experience working in scrum/agile delivery with large scale applications and development environments

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient working in Microsoft Applications such as Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Must be Scrum Master certified

Preferred Skills:

Working knowledge of Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.

Target salary range: $80,001 – $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
