Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing consistent updates and addressing concerns to ensure they feel supported throughout the pre-litigation process.
Case Management And Workflow Oversight
- Ensure the accurate creation, organization, and maintenance of case files, including digital records in systems like CASEpeer.
Medical And Treatment Coordination
- Obtain signed medical release authorizations and coordinate with medical providers to monitor client treatment and progress.
- Identify and address gaps in medical treatment or documentation that could impact case outcomes.
Demand Package Preparation
- Compile and review medical records, billing, and other supporting documentation to draft comprehensive demand packages based on the sources being used by the firm.
- Collaborate with external vendors to ensure the completeness and accuracy of all case documentation.
Settlement And Negotiation
- Engage with insurance adjusters to negotiate settlements, presenting well-documented evidence of liability and damages.
Expense And Lien Management
- Track case-related expenses and negotiate reductions of medical liens to maximize client compensation.
- Ensure accurate calculations and timely disbursement of settlement funds, including addressing discrepancies with providers.
Regulatory Compliance And Deadlines
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, legal standards, and internal deadlines at every stage of case management.
- Monitor and implement processes to avoid technical errors in documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Investigation And Evidence Gathering
- Facilitate the collection of accident reports, witness statements, photos, and videos.
Collaboration And Team Coordination
- Work closely with investigators, and medical professionals to ensure accurate case development.
- Coordinate with internal staff and external vendors to streamline processes and maintain consistency across cases.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Case Manager in a personal injury firm.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and case management software.
- Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with legal procedures.
