STARTING SALARY: $27.71-$32.93
Position Summary
The position is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Finance Director/Deputy Executive Director and supporting the finance department, Executive Director, and Board of Directors in specific capacities. The incumbent shall address matters about the effective and efficient administration of the finance department activities, including the coordination of communications and correspondence, travel arrangements, and planning and execution of all finance board meeting activities and subsequent directives. The Employee must work positively and respectfully with fellow employees.
The position requires an awareness and keen appreciation of American Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs and the ability at all times to meet and deal effectively in contacts with Indian health organizations which requires tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides administrative support and assistance to the Finance Director/Deputy Executive Director:
- Prepares agendas and packets for Finance meetings with Board of Directors.
- Official recorder for the Finance meetings with Board of Directors.
- Maintain log of Board Motions, Consensus and Directives.
- Composes finalization of the Board of Directors’ finance meeting minutes for permanent records.
- Coordinates travel arrangements, itineraries and registrations for staff related to conferences.
- Serves as guardian of original corporate documents including but not limited to Board adopted resolutions and Contract/grant documents.
- Must adhere to the MACT Health Board, Inc. Corporate Code of Conduct.
- Other duties as assigned by the Finance Director/ Deputy Executive Director.
- Assist with preparing financial reports and various financial analysis tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the finance department.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial analysis.

- Comply with all MACT policy and procedures.

Minumum Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalency (GED).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Must possess skills necessary to take minutes at meetings.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, general office machines, modern office methods, and business English usage.
- Must accurately type 55 wpm.
- Must be able to handle sensitive material.
- Must demonstrate proficiency with telephone skills and business telephone etiquette.
- Prior experience in an administrative role within a finance department is beneficial
Mandatory Requirements
- Must pass Occupational Health Screening.
- Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system.
- Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility (determined by auto insurance carrier).
