Job Title: Registered Nurse

Shift: Rotating Day and Night Shifts (3×12-Hour; Night 19:00 – 07:30, Day 07:00 – 19:30)

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Medical Surgical, IV start, and phlebotomy. Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment. Experience as a Charge RN is preferred.

License: DC RN Licensure (must have licensure in hand)

Certifications: BLS

Must-Have

  • Flexibility with rotating shifts
  • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
  • Flu vaccine (required, no exemptions)

Job Description

  • Provide patient care in a teaching hospital setting
  • Maintain a patient unit ratio of 1:5-6
  • Must be able to work weekends included in rotation
  • No on-call duties are required
  • RTO during the contract will not be approved for greater than 8 days. It must be scheduled to ensure the fulfillment of a full 36-hour workweek
  • RTO between the ending of one contract and the beginning of another will not be approved for more than 7 days
  • The facility provides a flexible work environment but requires adherence to mandatory requirements including vaccinations
  • Complete orientation (28 hours) and modules, with recorded transcripts (Modules are expected to be completed pre-start and during orientation)
  • Comfortable with the possibility of no interview process before placement in the role
