This position supervises a workgroup that has responsibilities for all controls processes and systems, including chillers (water or air cooled), distribution systems and auxiliary components (heat exchangers, cooling towers, pumps, etc.) that are essential to the production and distribution of chilled water for the University. This includes advanced analysis, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrading, and repair for power electronics, distributed control systems, and instrumentation for the entire chilled water system and equipment. Planned expansion in 2025 include construction of a new chiller plant and a retrofitted plant which will require this position to oversee these capital projects regarding instruments and controls of this position and will likely require an expansion of FTE.
