We are looking for a full time Field Engineer to join our team! This candidate will travel 10-11 months out of the year.

Responsible:

  • Interface with all construction building trades, as well as union and non-union labor (i.e. Boilermakers, Pipefitters, Electricians, Millwrights, Laborers, etc.)
  • Coordinate daily activities with Customer, Owner or Owner’s Representative.
  • Coordinate and interface with all departments at the home office (i.e. Sales, Purchasing, Traffic, Safety, Operations, Engineering, Accounting, Payroll, etc.)
  • Responsible for all field layout and placement of equipment and components including final inspections and vessel sign-offs.
  • Order and track all supplies purchased from vendors for jobsite.
  • Coordinate and track project detail scheduling.
  • Perform safety meetings and inspections, audits. Responsible to assist/support all Safety at the jobsite.
  • Inventory control of all tools, equipment, material and supplies including coordinating, shipping and receiving.
  • Responsible for job site reporting, tracking, scheduling and jobsite costs.
  • Responsible to review and track quality inspections and documentation.
  • Work on special assignments outside of field assignments – sales trips, estimates etc.

Qualifications:

  • 4 Year BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.

Successfully completed course work in the following classes:

Adequate field experience in industrial construction field may also be considered.

  • Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening in accordance to local law and regulations.
  • Must maintain a current driver’s license for all 50 states.
  • Must be able to travel extensively both long term and short term.
  • Must be a team player willing to guide the members to work together as well as work with all employees in the company to provide the most accurate and timely information for external and internal customers.
  • Must have strong computer skills with complete knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Must be flexible and willing to learn new duties as they arise and work extra when workload increases.
  • Must be able to recognize the need to assist in various production activities to learn, meet schedule or aid a fellow employee.
  • Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment while still producing accurate work.
  • Must provide people skills to work with many different personalities.
  • Must provide a positive company attitude in the face of adversity.
