Duties:

  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents accurately and efficiently
  • Preparing and organizing discovery materials, including requests, responses, and document production
  • Filing legal documents with the court and ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures
  • Assisting in the preparation of trial exhibits, witness lists, and other trial-related tasks
  • Maintaining regular and clear communication with clients, providing updates on case progress
  • Promptly responding to client emails and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Conducting legal research as necessary to support case preparation
  • Assisting attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, and mediation sessions
  • Managing and organizing case files and documents
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and effective client representation
  • Undertaking other tasks and responsibilities as required to support the needs of the firm

Skills:

  • Minimum 1 years of experience working as a Family Law Paralegal
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
  • Strong understanding of court rules and procedures related to family law cases
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced computer technology skills, including proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple cases simultaneously
  • Reliability, dependability, and a can-do attitude
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to client service
  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification preferred but not required
