Position Summary
- The Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our finance department and drive financial strategy and operations. The CFO will play a critical role in providing strategic financial leadership, overseeing financial planning and analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in financial management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies to support organizational growth and long-term sustainability. Partner with senior leadership to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect the organization’s assets and reputation. Develop and implement policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and safeguard financial integrity.
- Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and investment activities to optimize returns while minimizing risk. Monitor banking relationships and negotiate financing arrangements as needed.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives and business plans. Provide financial expertise and guidance to support decision-making processes and evaluate potential investments and acquisitions.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards. Maintain effective internal controls and governance structures to promote transparency and accountability.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, including financial analysts, controllers, and accounting staff. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
- Experience with Education and/or Not for Profit GAAP preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 in a senior leadership role
- Experience with Quickbooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Light physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
- Limited exposure to physical risk.
