Job Summary
This position assists the public about Labor Department programs, related laws, policies and procedures regarding the filing of claims and complaints
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department’s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

All work, including remote work, should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.
Job Duties
This position requires the ability to answer public inquiries by phone, in person or through claim applications and correspondence. The person in this position accepts claims and complaints for all Labor Department programs, ensures the application is complete, processes them in the database, prepares notices to employers and answers questions regarding the status of claims throughout the claims process. The person in this position will also direct inquiries and questions to other department staff members or to other government agencies as appropriate. The ability to interpret and translate verbal and written Spanish communication is helpful but not required.

Retirement
You will be eligible to participate in the state employee health/disability insurance plan, and you are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). ASRS participation may begin immediately or upon your 27th week of employment. Contributions are matched by the employer.
