Position Summary: This Art Director role is responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing asset creation that support and elevate the visual identity of the men’s category at Kith. This category includes campaign/editorial/lookbook photography, video assets, apparel/footwear on- and off-body photography, graphic design/treatments, etc. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, content, design, and production, the Art Director ensures all creative outputs align with brand aesthetics, seasonal narratives, and business objectives.
This role demands a blend of strategic vision and hands-on creative direction to produce compelling imagery that resonates with the target audience, drives brand engagement, and supports sales goals. The Men’s Art Director will oversee all aspects of photoshoot production, from pre-production planning to on-set execution and post-production, maintaining a consistent and elevated standard of excellence.
Who You Are
- Develop and execute creative concepts for men’s assets in alignment with the brand’s overall creative direction.
- Collaborate with marketing, content, design, and production teams to interpret collections and other brand moments and translate them into engaging visual stories.
- Lead the end-to-end production of all men’s content-related shoots, including overall concept, casting, locations, timelines, budgets, post-production, etc.
- Direct photographers, stylists, hair/makeup artists, and other creative collaborators to achieve desired outcome.
- Oversee lighting, composition, and styling to ensure visual consistency with brand standards.
- Concept creative briefs for upcoming moments/collections to review with Vice Presidents of Visuals and Content/Marketing.
Skills You Possess
- 4+ years of art direction / design / creative experience, retail or luxury experience preferred
- You have a compelling portfolio of distinctive work with elevated brand expressions
- A deep knowledge of fashion, image making, and branding with a highly refined sensibility
- An innovative and conceptual creator, skilled at merging art with commerce
- Up-to-date knowledge of creative best practices for relevant digital formats
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly and articulately explain your rationale and evoke excitement with your recommendations
- Strong organizational skills, keen eye for detail, and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
