We are looking for a Legal Executive to provide a strong foundation on which the Legal & Compliance team can perform and support the business. This includes ensuring the optimum organisation of the Legal & Compliance function, including efficient filing structure and systems, research resources, operational support and legal support and advice as required by Director Legal & Compliance.

A day in the life of Legal Executive…

  • Support Legal & Compliance function, and lead and manage all corporate secretarial and administrative matters.
  • Support Legal for tax and finance related transactions, including shared service and intra company agreements, bank guarantees, letters of demands
  • Perform legal research and support, and drive projects to optimise efficiencies in Legal & Compliance operations.
  • Managing all relevant databases to ensure optimum and compliant use by Nestle (Filing, Sharepoint, Government Licensing and Corporate Pass system, other Nestle Legal online systems).
  • Organisational work for the department as required
  • Legal and compliance support to the business as designated by Director Legal & Compliance, including contract review and negotiations, providing training as appropriate.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Relevant law related degree from a recognized and reputable institution, with strong Legal background and good knowledge of corporate secretarial work.
  • Getting called to the bar in an advanced common law jurisdiction similar to SIngapore (English bar etc) is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore law and corporate
  • Willing to handle a wide variety of work, from managing databases, contract management, some administration and filing, corporate secretarial, and legal advice, research and drafting
  • Preferably at least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in a reputable corporation or law firm, subject to exceptions based on quality of candidates
