Job Description
Responsibilities: (include, but are not limited to)
- Oversee accurate and efficient loading of all vehicles for the delivery of retail home products
- Oversee accurate unloading and accuracy of all merchandise received, staged and warehoused
- Monitor KPI’s to ensure a healthy and efficient operation
- Monitor weekly reports to ensure financial objectives are being met
- Monitoring and maintain weekly settlements to ensure contractors goals are being achieved
- Conduct ride behind and evaluation of contractors to determine skill levels and development opportunities
- Ensures all claims are charged back to the appropriate driver
- Recruit Independent Owner Operators and assist in the recruitment of their teams
- Ensures that maintenance of all delivery and service vehicles are completed as scheduled
- Directs and assists the delivery department in accomplishing their deliveries
- Analyzes scheduling and routing procedures as well as statistical and routine reports for operation analysis
- Ensures operation is operating in compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements
- Sets goals and tracks all performance-related statistics
- Responsible for the recruiting and coaching of the assistant manager and all staff
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all human resources and client representatives
Requirements
- Highschool diploma and or 3+ years of experience of dispatching in the logistics/transportation industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Effectively communicate in writing and verbally
- Valid Driver’s License
The position offers
This is a full-time position with full benefits and it pays $18 per hour.
Hours of operations: Tuesday to Saturday – 10:30-6:30 with a 30 min lunch. (No exceptions on the schedule, must meet all needs. Off Sunday and Monday.)
2 weeks paid vacation.
